Promoting Lets with Pets
Hand out our Renting to Pet Owners booklet to landlords. The booklet covers a range of practical information about renting properties to tenants with pets, such as asking for a pet reference, including a pet clause in tenancy agreements and dealing with pet deposits. A recent survey by Dogs Trust revealed that landlords were more inclined to accept pets than many letting agents realised. With this in mind, you should always remember to ask landlords if they would consider pet owners as tenants. You may be surprised by their response!
